Anfoega

In Anfoega tradition, twins are believed to share a sacred spiritual bond like true siblings, even when they come from different families. Because of this belief, marriage or sexual relationships between twins are traditionally forbidden, as it is viewed spiritually as marrying one’s own brother or sister.

The tradition also extends to twins’ parents, who are traditionally not allowed to marry twins, preserving cultural boundaries, respect, and spiritual order within the community.

Tradition. Spirituality. Cultural Identity.
